In this episode I interview a lady that I am very humbled to also have the privilege of working with. Dr Deepa Apté is a renowned Ayurvedic Practitioner and MD. Her spa Ayurveda Pura is where she treats clients with traditional healing practices and hosts a number of a courses for therapists and practitioners.
Ayurveda is the ancient Indian holistic medical system. It is based on achieving physical and mental harmony with nature which has been practised for more than 5000 years. Ayurveda means science of life, Ayur meaning life and veda meaning science and was first recorded in the Vedas, the world’s oldest surviving literature.
As my practice has grown and developed, I’ve realised that without even knowing it I have been incorporating Ayurvedic principles of balance and holistic views in my techniques, always looking to work on a clients goals by reviewing their whole life. So when I met Deepa, we chatted for hours and she endorsed to me herself that so much of what I was saying about my coaching practice was Ayurvedic.
I hope this episode enlightens you on Ayurveda, the truth about yoga and how you can bring some of these principles into your own life.
