Season 4 Episode 10
What makes a good, great, amazing day?
In this episode I’m sharing a powerful tool that I use with my clients called what makes a good, great, amazing day? This tool is a brilliant way to begin a self-development journey especially if you find yourself lacking time to implement other things.
Edward M. Hallowell, is an expert in attention deficit disorder (ADD) and he likens the experience of busyness to that of people suffering from ADD. He says:
“People with untreated ADD rush around a lot, feel impatient wherever they are. They love speed, get frustrated easily, lose focus in the middle of a task or a conversation because some other thought catches their attention. Most times, they bubble with energy but struggle to pay attention to one issue for more than a few seconds. They feel they could do a lot more if they could just get it together. They feel powerless over the piles of stuff that surround them and resolve each day to do better tomorrow. In general, they feel busy beyond belief but not all that productive.”
Sound familiar? That description would apply to many of us in our daily lives. Being busy, rather than focused on the big stuff, is more like ADD rather than being the super-effective person we aspire to be.
